Overview …

Welcome to GLOBNET.COM. Some people are always asking WHY an Internet system would obtain a domain name of globnet. Several names were chosen and ever since the Internet has been so popular every name that was picked was already registered. By taking these names and working with the letters along with some artistic freedom…globnet was available. Really the first choice was GLOBENET but that was taken. The 'E' at the end of the GLOBE was then dropped.

Globnet is connected to the Internet via an ISDN line and with its own set of assigned IP addresses.

Network services include: HTTP, FTP, Telnet, IRC, NFSd, SMTP, POP3, including PPP dial up.
