Waterford, Mi
Hello, well I am finally going to try to make a bit of progress on
my web site! I hope you enjoy your visit here. There is a lot to be done here
and photos and other information will be developed over the weeks to come.
Right now on this page I want to let you know a little bit about me. . New
Life started as a Bulletin Board Service in 1991 to provide a solid Christian
and Family oriented bbs service for Southeastern Michigan. Over the years
New Life has grown to become one of the finest BBS' in this area and expanded
to areas of Crafting and Quilt related fun! Over time I am hoping to get
to know many of you who come to this site. I value you comments and thoughts
about New Life Creations and will share about myself as well as some of the
creativity that is happening constantly at New Life Creations. New Life Creations
moved to Waterford Michigan in April of 1997. These are exciting times for
me as well as times for unknown changes since I have lived at my previous
home for close to 22 years. So I see this time of transition as a time for
all of us to get to know each other and to grow together as we explore the
Internet and so many of the wonders that exist in cyberspace!
Welcome again to New Life Creations!!!
Come and Journey with me from darkness into New Life!
A Bit About Me
I am a native Michigander and have lived
in the Southeastern part of the state all of my life. I am a graduate of
Madonna University with my degree in Gerontology. I am also a licensed Social
Worker in the State of Michigan.
I am also the proud mother of two grown daughters! They are the pride of
my life (to say the least). I will hopefully have some pictures to share
with you later on of these two marvelous young women. I am now entering into
a new phase of my life. With my children grown and on their own I have moved
to a place of "retirement". And I am quickly learning that "retirement" means
a great deal of "work". I am also blessed to have one of the most wonderful
men in my life that a woman could ask for! Jerry is my soul mate and is making
this transition go smooth and wonderful for me.
I was disabled several years ago. (Very boring so I won't go into details).
To regain the use of my physical body and work on fine tuning my mental
abilities I got into computers. This has been a lifesaver! And from this
other interest developed.

My Interests
My interest are many. Though I have three
loves that keep my hands and mind busy these days.
Quilting
,
Rubber Stamping
and,
Pergamano (parchment crafting )
. All of these loves, and more, I hope
to share here with you on my Web page. I just was blessed with a new color
scanner so I will be able to bring to this web page any number of wonderful
finds that I hope will make your computer browsing a lot more pleasurable!.
I will do my best to share some of the work I have been doing as this page
develops.
My Spiritual Walk
New Life is a reality for me. My
walk in the Holy Spirit began many years ago as a young woman. I was,
like many, searching for a deeper meaning to my life. I have always had a
strong belief in Christianity. I was, and am, known to be quite head
strong :). It was with these qualities I went head first into my quest.
I was raised as a child, in a Protestant
Church, but at the young age of eighteen, I converted to Roman Catholicism.
Now twenty-eight years later I am still growing daily in my Spiritual walk.
Our Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit are central in my life! I have
been involved in the Charismatic Movement in the Catholic Church for more
than 25 years.
I cannot begin to tell you of all the
different programs I have utilized to enhance my growth in my faith.
Nor could I at this time begin to tell you of all the wonderful blessings
that I have had in my life.
The love of our Lord has sustained me
through the most difficult of times and the most joyous also! So now
I invite you to: come and journey with
me from darkness into NEW LIFE!
Update on My Health
As many of you know, over
the last several years, since this site first came on line, my health has
always be a major concern. I know I don't say much about what the problems
are so I thought this may be the time ot enlightened everyone here and especially
those who continue to pray for me. All the prayers are greatly appreciated.
I have been battling something called "malignant asthma" for
over 28 years now. This only means that I do not respond
to conventional treatment for the disease. My doctors tell me I have
the worst asthma of anyone in their practice. Unfortunately I have had
to be on heavy duty steroids for the last 27 years. I will be on these drugs
the rest of my life.
I also have a bleeding disorder called "Von Willendrand's
Disease" one of the clotting factors is severely affected so I
am prone to some serious bleeding. Once a month I must go in for transfusions
to replace this clotting factor.
These two major health concerns have caused so many other problems
over the years that they are to numerous to go into. The most challenging
have been the two strokes that have compromised my body. By God's healing
grace, I have regained the majority of my abilities . I still, and will
battle the seizure disorder that developed from the strokes.
In my late 20's I had to have a hysterectomy for two
reasons. Cervical Cancer and continuos hemorrhage
There have also been a number of necessary surgeries over the years and rarely
have things gone with out serious complications, (mostly from serious bleeding
or severe hemorrhage.
My faith is what sustains me, even when
I feel like there is little control of these health concerns. I
have a wonderful support system in family and dear friends. Many of
whom share in our deep passion for the healing grace of Christ!
This year, 2001 has presented more than it's share
of challenges and because of these challenges, I have rarely worked on my
web site. Many times I have been down for months at a time , needing
help to get around the house.
I was recently hospitalized (again) this time for pneumonia. This
I have not experienced for about 30 years! While in the hospital the
doctor discovered a 'cavity' in my left lung. Initially the doctor's
thought it may be TB, fortunately all the test after I left the hospital assured
us that there was no TB. The Cavity remains however and there is great
concern that it may be cancer. Unfortunately I am a very poor candidate
for a biopsy of the lung because if my very high risk surgical status. So
we are gone keep an eye on things by x-rays for the next several months...
Pray for me Please!
