Block # 2
Shoo-Fly
* please make note that many of the fabric requirement are cut a bit larger than actually needed. This will make it easier to square up the various pieces in each block.
fabric requirements:
8 - 3 1/2" squares medium
8 - 3 1/2" squares dark
1. Following diagram #1 to make half square triangles.
Mark a pencil line across the diagonal. Sew 1/4" on each
side of the pencil mark. Cut apart on the
pencil line. Press each square to the darker fabric. Square
up each
square to 2 1/2" each.
2. Make 16 squares.
Step #2.
1. Follow diagram below and lay out the squares in rows of 4.
Sew vertical rows then horizonital rows to complete
the block.
2. Square up to 8 1/2".
