Fabric Requirements: (see letter break down on block chart diagram)
CUT:
Make to half square Triangles
1 - 4" square of A 1 - 4"
square of F
1 - square D to I
1 - square I to C
1 - square I to B
1 - 4" square of B 1 - 4"
square of G
.....1 - square F to
A 1 - square G to H
1 - square E to I
1 - 4" square of C 1 -
4" square of H
........1 - square I
to G 1 - square E to H
1 - square A to D
1 - 4" square of D 4 - 3/12"
light squares I //1
- square B to I 1 - square C
to I 1 - square I
to F
1 - 4" square of E 4
- 4" light squares I
Square up all half square triangles to
measure 3 1/2"

Step # 1 Making half square triangles
Because this block has so many different color combinations for the
half square triangles they will have to be done individually and not by
my usual method.
a. cut 4" squares on the diagonal to create triangles as shown in diagram
#1
(ignore the stitching
lines on the diagram please).
b. Useing the chart provided above sew each of the newly created
triangles into squares on the diagonal.
Be careful not to stretch on the bias.
c. Square up each new half square triangle to measure 3 1/2"
Step #2 Assembly:
a. Follow the diagram below to align your half square
triangles in the proper placement. 4 vertically and 4
horizontally.
b. Sew vertical seams then go back and sew the horizontal
seams. Square up you block to 12 1/2"
