Diamond within a Star
Now that I am beginning to get back on my feet better and the ole body is well into recovery it is time to catch up on the many wonderful and fun things that are a part of New Life Creations.
Fabric Requirements:
color #1 1 - 6 1/2" square (for center of the block)
color #2 2- 5 1/2" squares (contrasting colors) cut on diagonal
color #3 1 - 7 1/2" square (cut on both diagonal lines)
color # 4 1 - 7 1/2" square (cut on both diagonal lines)
Assembly: (1/4" seam allowances and press each piece and square up each section as you proceed.
1. Cut the 5 1/2" squares on the diagonal . Sew
these triangles to each side of the center 6 1/2" square. The
best way to do this is to sew the top to
the bottom first then the sides across from each other as shown below:
2. Place the 7 1/2" squares ofcolor #3 and #4 fronts together and cut on both diagonals as shown below:
3. Take one of each color of these newly cut triangles and
sew them together as shown below. You will have 4
sections:
4. Sew these section to the center block as shown below:
