Step # 1. Fabric Requirements:

....12 - 2 1/2" squares....44 - 2 1../2" squares.......4 - 3" squares. 4 -  3" squares....

........6 - 3" squares..  ........6 -  3" squares. .....

Step #2:  Half Square Triangles
 .  Using the . 3" squares  make half square triangles.

2.  Following  diagram #1 to make half square triangles.  Mark a pencil line across the diagonal of the
     squares.  Sew 1/4" on each  side of the pencil mark. Cut apart on the pencil line.  Press each square to the
     darker fabric.

3.  Use the following diagrams for each set of half square triangles:;

...    make - 4 -......................make 8 - ........................make 8 - ..

4.  Square up each square to 2 1/2'.

Step #3.  Assembly:

  1.  Follow the diagram below to lay out the pieces for the block.

2. Sew, with 1/4" seams in vertical rows the in horizontal row.
 

This block should measure 12 1/2" when completed.
