Block #2

Clay's Choice
Well I just can't get these men off my mind as June shines brightly ahead of us.  So here is another choice for
    this month, "Clay's Choice".

* please make note that many of the fabric requirement are cut a bit larger than actually needed.  This will make it easier to square up the various pieces in each block.

fabric requirements:

4 - 2 1/2" dark squares
4 - 2 1/2" light squares
2 - 3 1/2" light squares
4 - 3 1/2" dark squares
2 - 3 1/2" medium squares

Step # 1  make half square triangles:

1.  Following  diagram #1 to make half square triangles.  Mark a pencil line across the diagonal of the 3 1/2"
squares.  Sew 1/4" on each  side of the pencil mark. Cut apart on the pencil line.  Press each square to the
darker fabric.  Square up eachsquare to 2 1/2" each.
 2. Using all the 3 1/2" squares for your half square triangles use one light square against each of the other colors .
Make 4 medium-dark units and 4 dark to light units.

 Step # 2

 1. Following the diagram below, sew together first vertically then horizontally to complete block.

2. Square up to 8 1/2".

When completed your block should measure 8 1/2".   If you have any questions about this block or other patterns or information on New Life Creations please e-mail me at:   flair@nwlife.com or juliasbb@yahoo.com .
