Four Point on Point







1.  Fabric Requirements:
            Fabric requirements match the color schemes in the above diagram of finished block.

   32" x 2" strip of White
   32" x 2" strip of Orange
   4 - 4" squares of White
   4 - 4" squares of Dark Brown

 Step #2  Make half square triangles

1.  Using the 4" squares of White and Dark Brown, place the with front sides together on top of each other.

2.    Following  diagram #1 to make half square triangles.  Mark a pencil line across the diagonal of the
     squares.  Sew 1/4" on each  side of the pencil mark. Cut apart on the pencil line.  Press each square to the
     darker fabric. Making 8 - 3 1/2" squares

Step # 3.  Making 4 Patch sections:

Make 4 patches:

1.  Sew length wise the white and orange strips  using 1/4" seam.

2. Cut across the joined strips every 2" to make 16 - 2" x 4"
 

3.  Sew together into 4 - patch pieces as shown: 

4.  Press and square up each unit to measure  4" square.

Step # 4.  Assembly:

1. Line up each section as shown below.

2.  Sew together horizontally then vertically to complete the block.
