Album Block
This 12" finished 9-patch block is easy to construct and will be a grand addition to the sampler quilt that
will be created at the finish of the year!
Cutting Instructions:

1.  Cut 4 -  4 1/2" squares of light green

2.  Cut 1 - 4 1/2" square of medium green

3.  Cut 2 - 5" squares of dark green
               (cut on diagonal)
4.  Cut 4 - 2 1/2" squares of dark green

5.  Cut 4 - 3" squares of  medium green
     (cut on diagonal)

Sewing instructions:

1.  Using the 3"squares cut on the diagonal and the 2 1/2 " squares stitch together as in the diagram below.

be sure to align the square corner of the triangle to the edge of the 2 1/2" squares. The wings of the triangle will come together leaving a 1/4" seam allowance for stitching the larger  diagonal cuts of dark fabrics.
You will have 4 sections of the above diagram.
2.  Using the 5" squares that were cut on the diagonal sew together the sections you made above as shown below:
3.  Using the diagram below line up all remaining pieces and sew together across the horizontal then the vertical
seam lines.  Use 1/4" seams through out.  Square up block to 12 1/2".

When completed your block should measure 12 1/2".  I am hopeful that my instructions are becoming easier to understand. If you have any questions about this block or other patterns or information on New Life Creations please e-mail me at:   flair@nwlife.com or juliasbb@yahoo.com .
