Mystery Quilt # 3
Now that Spring is "springing"
it is time to move on to the colorful fun of the summer. And it is
also time to prepare for the coming of the fall. Quilting in the
summer will bring us to the cooler autumn days enjoying a wonderful and
warm quilt.
Trying to decide just what
I wanted to do for this mystery quilt project has been nothing short of
a major challenge for me but it is also one that I am throughly enjoying.
You will be presented with the option of either a "twin" size quilt or
a "full" size quilt.
After hours and hours with
my caculator at hand and going through various goodies on my computer I
found what I think is the perfect quilt for this mystery. Because
of my past errors with cutting instructions and yardage charts I would
suggest that you do not cut your fabrics until instructed to in each step.
This should save you a bit of confusion as time goes on.
This Mystery Quilt will be a 9
week project with installments coming out each Monday until completion.
For the first installment you will receive
the fabric requirements for both the twin and full size quilts. I
have checked for accuracy for the amount of fabrics you will need for this
step. So if you are purchasing fabrics for this Mystery Quilt you
should be safe with the amounts listed below.
It is my opinion that this quilt will
have best results using contemporary or marbled fabrics for the two medium/dark
requirements. You should also get good results using two contrasting medium
fabrics for this quilt. (I just happen to be partial to the darker
fabrics since I plan to use this quilt this winter).
