Chevron
This block is made of all half squares. The are laid out in such a way as to present itself as a Chevron design... Just imagine a full quilt made with this block!!!
Step #1. Fabric requirements:
3 - 4" squares of dark red
2 - 4" squares of medium red
3 - 4" squares of rose
3 - 4" squares of light purple
2 - 4" square of medium purple
3 - 4" squares of dark purple

Step # 2
1. Following diagram #1 to make half square triangles.
Mark a pencil line across the diagonal. Sew 1/4" on each
side of the pencil mark. Cut apart on the
pencil line. Press each square to the darker fabric. Square
up each
square to 3 1/2" each.
2. Make half square triangles using these color combinations:
all of these half squares are made using
4" squares and will measure 3/12" after squaring up.

1 - dark purple
1 - medium purple
to make: - 2 -
b.
1 - medium red
1 - light purple ...
to make: - 2-
c.
1 - dark red.......
..1 - medium purple
to make: - 2 -
d.
1 - medium red
1 -rose.............
to make: - 2 -
e.
2 - dark red
2 - dark purple
to make: - 4 -
f.
2 - light purple
2 - rose ....................
to make: - 4 -
3. Press each newly created square with
darkest side upward.
4 Square up each square to 3 1/2"
Step # 4
1. follow the diagram below to put block
together. Both color and squares are marked with colora
a-f and squares are numbered
1-6

2. Sew together with 1/4" seams. First vertically then horizontally.
When completed square up to 12 1/2' . This completes your block.
