May 1998

With Spring comes weddings and times of great joy and new beginnings.  I thought this composition would be something that could be useful during this time of celebration.

Please make note that all tracing, embossing, and perforations to the back of the card
must be done in reverse image. Use the boarder below by applying it to the outer back of
the card.

The boarder below is to be used to provide the mirror image necessary for the  outer
right side of the card.  (See finished composition and pattern for placement)

Instructions:

Tracing:  Use white ink to trace the wedding dress, veil, faces and the grooms shirt.  Also use white for all areas in
                 the boarder.
Use black ink to trace around the groom's tuxedo, shoes, and hair line.

Embossing: Use the fine embossing tool to embossing the flowers on the veil of the bride. Use the small embossing
tool to emboss all other areas of the card design and boarders.

Dorsing:    Blend a soft blue and pink dorsing crayon to the back of the front side of the composition. Blend
                   outwardly.

Painting:     All painting is done on the front of the composition.
( I blended a number of paints and inks to get the color effects I wanted for this composition.  Let your
imaginations go wild.  Or if you know the color scheme of the person you are making this card for use
the wedding party's colors to complete the composition).

Use Pinta Perla Geel Yellow for the bride's hair.  For the groom's hair combine one to two drops of the
Sepia to a generous drop of the Pinta Perla Wit White.  Lighten or darken this combination until you
get the color that you want for the groom's hair.

For all the skin areas use the Pintura Huidkleur Skin (13).

For the groom's tuxedo combine three drops of black ink to one generous drop of the Pinta Perla white
this should give you a charcoal  gray color.  Paint the groom's tuxedo, bow tie and shoes with this.

Use tiny dots of pink to enhance the flowers on the veil and the lacy boarder of the veil.

Use the Pintura blue to fill in the bow, cuffs and bottom boarders of the wedding gown.  Also add tiny
dots of the blue to the flower boarder of the veil.

Take a small (half drop or less) of the Pintura blue and mix with a generous drop (or more) of the
Perla White.  You want this to barely show the blue only as a hint of blue in the white.  Paint the
wedding gown and veil with this mixture.

Perforations: Follow perforation grid for all perforations. Use four prong tool for this. Cut out the "x's"in  center of
each of the four circle areas. Cut  away the rows (as shown in finished project) for threading ribbon.
.                      Use the two prong tool to go around the outside edge of the board. This will create the tear away lacy
look to finish the card.  Do not tear this away until after your ribbon is treaded through the
                       composition.

Ribbon:        Use a 1/8" ribbon to thread through the cut away perforation areas of the boarder.  When you have
completed this then tear away the outer boarder to complete the composition.
                       The finished composition should measure 5 3/4"x 4 3/4".

I hope you will enjoy this months  design.  It involves a great deal of  work on the boarders but you will be pleased with the  final project.
