There are many quilt patterns named for cities or states, prefaced by "Road to...". Sometimes strips of color are set in contrast to a central patch, but there's as much variation in the so-called "road to ..." patterns as in other patchwork names.
Color A = medium light
Color B = Dark
Color C = 1st Medium
Color D - 2nd Medium
Cutting Instructions:
cut 1 - 3 1/4" square of color A for the center piece of the block
Piece #1
This square will be set on point in the block.
cut 2 - 2 1/2" squares of color A. Cut on diagonal to make 4 triangles.

vertical measurement is 2 1/2".
horizontal measurements: total length is 6 1/2". Cutting off 2 1/2"

Again, this block is pieced with templates. (something
we all know that I do not like). The templates and pieces above include
a 1/4" seam allowance. The finished block (unfinished( will be 12 1/2".
To assemble please refer to the finished block at the top
of the page. There will be some pieces that require being "set in".
be sure to even out your seams so they lay flat. Press and square
up when you have completed this block.
