Block # 1

Fox and Geese

The Autumn is fast approaching and as the leaves turn to the bright colors that are autumn, the animals begin to prepare for the deep freeze of the winter months... The Canadian Geese begin their southern migration and the arctic foxes change to the purest of white.  These two animals of the autumn are brought together in this "Fox and Geese" block.

* please make note that many of the fabric requirement are cut a bit larger than actually needed.  This will make it easier to square up the various pieces in each block.

2 - 3 1/2" medium light squares
2 - 2 1/2" medium  squares

     c.   1 -  3 1/2" dark and 1 - 3 1/2" medium dark (make 2 units)

Step # 2

1.  Follow the diagram to lay out the block for sewing.  Be sure of the placement of the 2 1/2" squares and the angle
     of the half square triangles.

2.  Sew block together first vertical rows then horizontal rows to complete the block

3. Square up to 8 1/2".
