Think Spring Mystery Quilt

    Well it is now time for step # 2 of the "Think Spring" mystery quilt.  Preparing this step for you has been a bit of a challenge as I have just upgraded my computer system and transfering all my files from one computer to another has taken days to complete and I am finding that I have a ways to go to get everything transfered over.  I am also now running Windows 95 for the first time so getting use to the new icons and menu layouts is really taxing the ole brain cells -:).

If you have not done  step #1   and complete this step before proceeding.

For this step you will be making half square triangles from the 4" white and pink squares.

 1.Using the 16 white 4" square and the sixteen pink 4" square, place one pink and one white right sides together.    You will have 16 pairs sew each pair on the diagonal.  Draw a line on the diagonal of each pair and stitch 1/4" to each of the diagonal line drawn on each pair (as shown in diagram # 1).

2.  Cut apart on the diagonal line.
3.  Press open each half square triangle with the seams toward the darker fabric.
4.  Square up each square to 3 1/2".
5.  You should now have 32 -  3 1/2" half square triangles.
