Think Spring Mystery Quilt
installment # 7
   Well here it is Monday morning and after a relaxing and "warm" weekend here in Michigan it is now time for the next installment of the "Think Spring" Mystery Quilt.  Just in time for the weather here to again turn cold and the snow to cover the ground.  As March is expected to definitly come in like a Lion!  This step will definitly help us all to think of all the glories of Spring that are just around the corner.
 This weeks installment will again be a simple one. (Not that any of the installments will be difficult).  If you have not completed  step #1 ,  step #2 ,   step #3 ,   step #4 ,   step 5 and  step #6  you  will need to do so before progressing on to this step.

  Today's installment will begin the final steps for assembly of the "Think Spring" Mystery Quilt. Have you guessed what the final quilt will look like yet? :).  When you have completed today's installment you will definitly have a better idea but then again it is my hope that the mystery will continue right up into next week's final installment!

Step # 1.  Gathering your pieces.

1.   For this step you will need to gather up the following pieces from previous installments.
      Installment #1.
        4 - 2 1/2" square of Purple
        4 - 2 1/2" square of Green
     Installment #3.
        4 - 4 patch units
        8 -  half square triangles of Purple and Pink
    Installment #4.
       All units made in this step

Step # 2. Assembly of all the above units:

This step will provide you with row by row instructions for assembly of this step.  Please pay special attention to how each of these horizontal rows are assembled. sew each of the following pieces together vertically as shown below.

Step # 3   Final Assembly of this section

Complete the assembly by sewing horizontal rows together to make a square unit that measures 6 1/2".
The finished square should look like the diagram below.

This completes installment # 7.  Next Monday we will complete this mystery quilt! As you can see from today's installment the "Spring Flower" is now completed.  The next mystery is yet to come!  See you all on Monday March 9, 1998.
